U.S. Pulls Troops From Ebola Zone

The U.S. military is pulling most of its troops from the epicenter of the Ebola epidemic in Liberia after removing more than half its personnel, the Defense Department said Tuesday night. "Given the success of the U.S. response to the crisis, the majority of DoD personnel in West Africa will now return home," the department said in a statement. U.S. personnel numbered 2,800 during the height of the West Africa epidemic, but Liberia is now managing just a handful of new cases.
