Hundreds Attend Vietnam Vet's Funeral After Viral Obituary Post

"The Public is invited to the Cemetery to honor a Vietnam Veteran with no known family"

Hundreds of people attended a 73-year-old Vietnam veteran's funeral in Nebraska Tuesday after a funeral home couldn't track down his family and invited the community to attend, NBC News reported.

Stanley C. Stoltz's silver casket was lined with flowers and flags at Omaha National Cemetery and a long line of cars was parked outside, according to images from the funeral.

Stoltz died Nov. 18, according to the obituary posted online by the Good Shepherd Funeral Home. It said, "The Public is invited to the Cemetery to honor a Vietnam Veteran with no known family."

People thanked Stoltz for his service on the funeral home's website. "Thank you for doing what so many of us never could," Kelly Copeland wrote.
