Villagers in a Nigerian town ambushed Boko Haram militants Tuesday morning, killing scores and arresting at least 10 more in an attempt to curb future attacks by the Islamist group, NBC News reported. The attack occurred in the northeastern state of Borno, where more than 300 girls were abducted last month by Boko Haram in a kidnapping that has drawn the attention of the world. Britain and the U.S. are actively involved in the mission to rescue the girls and are providing technology and other resources to help their Nigerian counterparts.
