Who Are the 5 Guantanamo Detainees Traded for U.S. POW?

Five former Taliban officials, who were released from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba on Saturday in exchange for a U.S. POW, were high-risk detainees at the prison, NBC News reported. The men, including a Taliban official with direct ties to Osama bin Laden, were flown off to Qatar — part of a controversial deal to secure the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who had been detained by the Afghan Taliban for five years. The five men are in the custody of Qatari authorities on Saturday and will be subject to a number of restrictions as part of the terms of their release, a senior U.S. administration official said.
