Wife Pleads to ISIS for Release of Husband Alan Henning

The wife of a British aid worker held hostage by ISIS, Alan Henning, pleaded on video Tuesday for his release. In the third plea from Barbara Henning, she said in a BBC interview, “I ask Islamic State: Please release him.” Appealing to the organization’s ambition to be seen as a state, she asked ISIS to “act in a statesmanlike way” and show mercy to Alan who was kidnapped in Syria in December. In a previous video, she said she had been told that a Sharia court had found her husband innocent of being a spy.
