Florida GOP Says Hell No To Healthcare Option

Florida joins the list of red states that want to sue Obama

Floridians might soon have a new healthcare option. It's called opting out.

A new bill is flying through the State legislature right now that would allow you to opt out of the federal health care overhaul plan under a ballot proposal being considered by your friends in the Republican party.

A House committee Monday approved the proposed state constitutional amendment on a 10-3 vote. It would need 60 percent voter approval if it gets on the November ballot.

But constitutional law experts say even if adopted it would not override federal law. But it's not like the GOP doesn't have a back up plan.

Attorney general Bill McCollum has joined a list of AGs nation wide who plan on suing the PROTUS over the healthcare bill.

Good luck with that one, fellas.

"The health care reform legislation passed by the U. S. House of Representatives this last night clearly violates the U.S. Constitution and infringes on each state's sovereignty," McCollum said.

The proposed amendment would prohibit anyone including employers from being forced to participate in the federal system President Barack Obama is expected to sign into law.

The U.S. House passed the legislation Sunday over unanimous opposition from Republicans. It would extend coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans.
