Clippers Torch Heat as Wade Sits Again

The Heat never stood a chance against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday in a 110-93 loss

Dwyane Wade remained inactive as the Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Miami Heat on Thursday by a final score of 110-93.

Wade is nursing a hamstring injury and is considered day-to-day. Thus far the guard has missed four games and the Heat are 1-3 in those contests. Without Wade, Miami has been forced to give extra minutes to players such as Shannon Brown and James Ennis in recent days.

Norris Cole dislocated his left middle finger during the game and could potentially miss some time going forward.

Chris Bosh once again did everything he could but it was not enough as he received very little help. Bosh had 28 points in 31 minutes along with seven rebounds. Bosh shot the ball better than he has in recent games as well with a 9-17 day.

Luol Deng returned to the lineup after missing the last game in Brooklyn with a wrist injury. Deng put in 28 solid minutes on the court and scored 13 points. Deng also contributed five boards but was a disappointing 0-4 from the three-point line.

The Heat had difficulty on threes as a whole which has been a common trend this year going back to the preseason. Miami was only 6-25 on its trey attempts in this game and two of those came from Shabazz Napier who did not start the game.

Miami was also dominated on the inside as the Clippers scored 42 paints in the paint in stark contrast to the 24 from the Heat. Miami had six offensive rebounds which has been around the norm this season. Even though its a low total, it was still more than the three the Clippers tallied.

The Heat will take a day off and then get back on the court on Saturday in Orlando for a game with the Magic.
