Dolphins Game Preview: Preseason Week Two vs. Panthers

The Dolphins will continue the preseason with a game against the Panthers on Friday

The Miami Dolphins will continue their preseason schedule against the Carolina Panthers on Friday.

The Dolphins dropped their exhibition opener to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 26-24. Wins and losses are irrelevant at this point, but there were clear problems for Miami in that game. The Dolphins will look to make improvements in Friday's game, as the regular season inches closer.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked decent in his return to the field, but also struggled with a couple of passes. Tannehill led Miami into field goal range and then came up short on his final two passes of the game. After having one of the worst offenses in the NFL last season, the Dolphins will need to come up with those clutch passes in the upcoming season.

Tannehill only played one series last week, but he could play the entire first quarter in this game. Tannehill should have an opportunity to find a rhythm with his offensive line and receivers in this game. Wide receiver Danny Amendola could be a player to watch in this game, with DeVante Parker unavailable.

Miami's defense had a rough game against Tampa Bay and the team made some changes ahead of this game. After seeing the defense allow 399 yards of total offense, the Dolphins have moved Bobby McCain and Minkah Fitzpatrick to new locations. McCain will be on the outside boundary, while Fitzpatick will be in the slot cornerback position.

The Dolphins will be without the services of Parker, Kenny Stills, MarQueis Gray, Kalen Ballage, Jake Brendel, William Hayes, Tony Lippett, Mike Hull and Jordan Phillips in this one.

Friday's kickoff in North Carolina is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
