Dolphins Open With Bills, Get JT in Prime Time

Dolphins 2010 schedule released

The schedule makers were a bit gracious on Tuesday.

The Miami Dolphins won't have to face Jason Taylor and his new team on opening day as speculated after all. That match up comes two weeks later.

The Dolphins first match up will be on the road against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12, followed by a date with the Minnesota Vikings, with or without Brett Favre.

Then comes the home opener, Sept. 26, on NBC's Sunday Night Football against the hated Jets. If Dolfans aren't circling that date on the calender, you can bet Taylor is.

The now former Dolphin great who was dissed by his bosses is expected to sign with New York on Wednesday and become their pass rushing specialist. The teams will meet again on Dec. 12 in New York.

Unlike last year, when the Dolphins were the darlings of TV with several prime-time broadcasts, Miami is on Monday Night Football only once, against the New England Patriots on Oct. 4. They also are featured in a Thursday Night Football special on the NFL Network against the Chicago Bears at Sun Life Stadium.

A year removed from having the toughest schedule in football, the Dolphins sport the 17th roughest road in 2010, which is fine by us. The combined record of this season's opponents in 2009 was an even 128-128.

The NFL Network rated the schedule on the "Tough-o-Meter" at a 75.
