Feel Gouged on Game Day? It Could Be Worse!

We still hate that parking fee! Just sayin'!

You're still getting gouged, Miami. But if you were a Cowboys, Jets, Patriots, or Giants fan, you'd be paying between 35 and 38% more for a family of four to enjoy average-priced tickets and a handful of accoutrements on any given NFL Sunday.

You would also be a Cowboys, Jets, Patriots, or Giants fan, and would therefore deserve it.

Fortunately, you aren't. And surprisingly, despite the Ocean Drive-ening of Sun Life stadium, the Dolphins' regular seating experience is still a considerable value against the rest of the league's pricing structures.

According to a Team Marketing Report, the average NFL Fan Cost Index -- which includes four average-priced tickets, two small draft beers, four small sodas, four hot dogs, one-car parking, two programs and two cheap caps - is $420.54.

The Dolphins' FCI is $386.16, making them the 11st least expensive experience in the league. The Cowboys, on the other hand and upper end, come in first at $617.80. Guess those cage dancers don't come as cheap as they look!

The savings don't end there. Miami's $6 small draft is cheaper than those of 23 other teams. Sun Life's $4 hot dog is 22nd. There are 19 other teams with more expensive parking, the part that always kills us (DO YOU WANT US TO COME OR NOT?).

18 other teams have higher average regular ticket prices than the Dolphins' $70.54.

It's still an obscenely expensive undertaking to take a family of four, or, if that's how you roll, three dates at once. And of the nine most expensive teams, six went to the playoffs, so there's probably an uncomfortable corrolation between performance and low cost that we're going to ignore right now because the Dolphins are UNDEFEATED AND ATOP THE AFC EAST.

Naturally, we know what you're thinking: how can we make this about how much better the Dolphins are than the Jets?

Easy: your counterparts in New Jersey paid $598.56 -- second-most in the league -- to watch their team lose at home to Miami last season.

It's okay to giggle.
