Kehoe Could Be Making a Comeback at Miami

It could be deja vu all over again for the 'Canes most decorated former coach.

The University of Miami's new head man Al Golden could make a big splash with fans by hiring The U's longtime offensive line coach Art Kehoe.

The Miami Herald is reporting Golden interviewed Kehoe for the O-Line gig yesterday.

Kehoe was an assistant for the 'Canes for 25 years before getting the axe by former coach Larry Coker after the 2005 season. Kehoe is the only member of all five Miami national championship teams' coaching staffs.

“I think Art could really help them. He’s been there for everything," former running backs coach Don Soldinger, who worked with Kehoe for years, told the Herald. "He’s a Miami guy. Always has been.’’

Kehoe's passion for The U was unmatched during his time on the sidelines in Miami. He coached line greats Bryant McKinnie, Brett Romberg, K.C. Jones and many others during his quarter century at UM.

Kehoe has coached in the United Football League for the past two seasons. The O-Line job opened up when Jeff Stoutland decided to bolt to Nick Saban's Alabama staff after the Sun Bowl loss to Notre Dame.
