It looks like Miami hoops fans are going crazy a couple days before what could be a Linsane matchup between the Heat and New York Knicks.

Secondary market ticket prices for Thursday night’s eagerly anticipated game between the Heat and the visiting Knicks – featuring Jeremy Lin’s first appearance here since he broke out as a star earlier this month – have shot way up. The average price for Thursday’s game is $510.06, more than double the average home ticket price for the Heat, according to TiqIQ.com.

Trying to get a ticket from an online reseller for the upcoming matchup costs 85 percent more than the teams’ initial game in Miami ($275.66) earlier in the season, according to Chris Matcovich, the director of data and communications for TiqIQ, which says it is the largest aggregator of event tickets online.

Prices have also more than doubled, rising 131.6 percent, since Feb. 7, shortly after Lin’s first triumphant performance against the New Jersey Nets, according to Matcovich.

He said the most expensive ticket his site is tracking for Thursday’s game, in Courtside South Row AA, costs more than $9,400.

Meantime, in an email Tuesday, Miramar-based Spirit Airlines urged customers to check out its “Linsanely Low Fares.”

“Score BIG with fares so Linsanely low, you can afford them even if you're living on your brother's couch!” the airline said, in a reference to the Knicks’ point guard’s recent New York digs.

It trumpeted its offer as coming “just in the knick of time.”
