This Could Be the Miami Marlins' Inaugural Patch

What do you think of the design?

NBC Miami has obtained what may be the Miami Marlins' inaugural patch.

A team spokesman wouldn't  confirm whether it was the patch, which will be unveiled at a later date.

The patch shows the name of the stadium as Marlins Park, which the team confirms is the current name, unless the Marlins strike a naming rights deal with a corporate sponsor. It wasn't immediately known if the patch was for the uniform.

Also, the team announced on Friday that Marlins Park will host three exhibition games on March 5 to 7. The first game will feature Christopher Columbus High School and Belen Jesuit Prepatory School on March 5.

On March 6, the Marlins will play against the University of Miami, and a day later they will play Florida International University. The first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. for each game. Single game tickets to the UM and FIU games will available from Jan. 27 at 10 a..m. on the team's website.

The team said the park is 93 percent complete and will host the first regular season game on April 4, when the Marlins play the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:10 p.m. On April 1 and 2, the team will host the New York Yankees for two exhibition games. Tickets to those games will go on sale next month.

The Marlins will celebrate Opening Day at the new stadium on April 4.
