The Miami Marlins will begin a three-game series with Christian Yelich and the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday.

Yelich was traded by Miami to Milwaukee and was named an All-Star on Sunday. In a series earlier this season, Yelich went 3-14 against his former club. During that April series at Miller Park, Yelich also hit a home run.

Jose Urena will bring a 2-9 record into Monday's series opener. Urena gave Miami five shutout innings in his last outing and came away with a no-decision. The right-hander struck out six and walked two during the start. Urena's record is disappointing, but he has a respectable 4.18 E.R.A on the season.

Pablo Lopez will start the middle game of the series and will be looking for his second big-league win. Lopez has made two starts in his rookie season and has a 5.73 E.R.A thus far. Lopez ran into some trouble in his last outing against the Washington Nationals and ended up with a no-decision. The right-hander will face another tough lineup this time around, with multiple home run threats in the batting order.

Dan Straily has won only one time in his last eight starts and he will try to improve on that in Wednesday's series finale. The Marlins are 6-7 in Straily's starts this season, but four of those wins came in May. Straily has a 4.55 E.R.A this season, to go along with a 1.38 WHIP.

Miami posted 22 hits in Sunday's win in Washington and almost all of the knocks were singles. The Marlins will need to post some extra-base hits in this series against a difficult Milwaukee club. The Brewers enter the series with the best record in National League at 54-36.

Monday's game will get underway at 7:10 p.m.
