Wade Shoots, He Scores, and Scores, and Scores

D-Wade scores 50 against Jazz, breaks Zo's all-time Heat scoring record

The Miami Heat worked overtime yet again last night - and they're not even saving up for a swimming pool. A spot in the playoffs is more like it, and tonight's 140-129 victory over the Utah Jazz in triple OT puts them one step closer.

A run of successful freethrows, a dunk by Udonis Haslem and a steal from Deron Williams that could have won the game was what ruined the Jazz's 107-100 lead with under a minute left in the game. "We did a how-to on how to lose a basketball game," said Williams. Though, we'd like to think the Heat did a how-to on how to win a basketball game. Hint: have D Wade on your team. Read on...

But the even bigger news is Dwyane Wade's 50 points, which tied his career high and made him the Heat's all-time scoring leader, a title he snatched away from Alonzo Mourning, who was in attendance last night. "I'm glad he was here as well," said Wade. "To be No. 1, it's an honor. I told [Mourning] I was going to catch him, I didn't know it was going to be this soon.''

The best part - it was all in front of a sold-out crowd. Ah, it's like the good 'ole days of 2006. [Tear.]
