Anquan Boldin is unhappy in Arizona and is apparently less than thrilled with his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Correction, former agent.
Boldin axed the super-slick Miami sports agent Tuesday, according to reports on ESPN.com. Rosenhaus was unable to force the Cardinals to trade Boldin or agree to the wide-receiver's lofty contract demands. Boldin wanted $10 million a year like his Pro-Bowl teammate Larry Fitzgerald.
But don't feel bad for Rosenhaus, who took the firing in stride and tossed up a deflector shield worthy of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
"Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say that I have great respect for him," Rosenhaus told ESPN. "We would also like to take this opportunity to announce that we have signed Will Allen to a 2-year contract extension with the Dolphins worth $16.2 million."
Some Dol'fans had hoped that Rosenhaus might be able to convince Boldin to join an emerging Dolphins squad that could use a No. 1 receiver. But those dreams have all but been dashed now.
By the way, thanks Drew for selling the team on spending millions on an aging cornerback with visibly diminished cover skills. 'Preciate it.
