Larry Johnson has been a Miami Dolphin twice in less than a week.
The veteran running back was re-signed by the team Thursday, just five days after being given his walking papers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Johnson being cut on Saturday was a surprise to some, especially after he scored on a 22-yard touchdown run in the Dolphins last preseason game.
Some thought Miami was desperate when the team signed Johnson in August. Well consider this a double dose of desperation.
Miami is thin at running back and that's being generous.
Johnson will join Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas and Lex Hilliard in the backfield and could see some action when the Dolphins play New England on Monday night.
To make room for Johnson on the roster, Miami released guard Ray Feinga.
