Who would have thought a couple years ago that Chelsea on transfer deadline-day would almost become an afterthought? The Premier League's current No. 3 apparently were offered an olive branch from former manager Jose Mourinho and snapped up Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma from Inter Milan for the remainder of the season.

Finally, it would seem, Chelsea manager Phil Scolari realized his team would need to inject something into it's lineup after a limp, toothless display against Liverpool on Sunday. Quaresma didn't do much at the San Siro after his summertime move from Porto, perhaps another Portuguese manager can get the best out of him.
