Because of the use of aluminum bats, college baseball games have a tendency to be higher-scoring than pro games. Sometimes, the ball just jumps off the bat, and you'll see a wacky result or a never-ending game.
Sunday in Fort Myers, Fla., you saw a little of both. The result sure was wacky, and for Division II Minnesota-Duluth, it was probably a game that never felt like it would end. Worse yet for the Bulldogs, it was only game one of a doubleheader.
