Columbia Journalism Grad Feels ‘Lucky' With Strip Club Managerial Position

Michael Precker is a graduate of the very distinguished and highly credible Columbia Journalism School. After leaving Columbia's Journalism School -- with a Masters degree, mind you -- he joined a newspaper in a major city.

But eventually Precker's job at the Dallas Morning News hit a little snafu: print media started to fade away as the "internet" broke wildly onto the world wide scene. The DMN offered Precker a buyout in 2006 with the obvious inference that the "reduction in staff wasn't temporary -- or necessarily complete." Precker took the money and a few months later found himself managing a strip club, a job that appears to be "safer" than writing for a newspaper.
