The winter transfer window blew through England Monday, coincidentally enough the day of a snowstorm, which allowed clubs to extend the deadline a couple of hours. Outside of the big name moves, a couple lesser transfer and loans could help clubs survive in the top flight.
Of note, Everton gained the services of Manchester City semi-flop Jô for the rest of the season. Will this solve the striker crisis at Goodison Park? At the very least the Brasilian is a warm body, giving David Moyes another option. Then again, considering how closely knit the Everton squad has been in recent weeks, will bringing in an outsider who hasn't acclimated to the English game be a good idea?
