U.S. Begins Busy 2009 with Sweden

The U.S. men's national team starts it's busy and perhaps grueling 2009 calendar Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. against a Sweden 'B' team (8 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel). The U.S., too, features a team of fringe players trying to make an impression while the regulars are either resting or continuing their European adventures.

For instance, forward Brian Ching is the only player on the roster with any significant international experience and is the player in the camp that featured at the 2006 World Cup. By contrast, U.S. coach Bob Bradley brought in four goalkeepers with one combined international cap.
