Venus Williams' bid to win her eighth Grand Slam title came to a quick end Thursday, as the star was ousted in the second round of the Australian Open by unheralded Spanish player Carla Suarez Navarro.

Suarez Navarro, who earned a spot in the French Open quarterfinals last year and is appearing in just her fourth Grand Slam tournament, fought back from being down 5-2 and facing match point in the third set to take the match and stun Venus.
