Wednesday's NBA Guide: Rockets-Jazz, Shaq in Miami

NBA Guide gives you a daily look at all the games that matter ... and some that don't.

HEADLINER
Houston at Utah, 9PM ET

Recent playoff battles have left the perfume of bloodthrist on regular season Utah-Houston match-ups, including an epic double overtime fight in December. The Jazz have had the Rockets' springtime number, but Houston's up 2-0 this season with only 1-1/2 games separating the pair and potentially a Game 7 at home on the line.

Save for a shoot-your-path-to-oblivion meltdown against Chicago, Ron Artest has been a terrific perimeter tonic for the Rockets. At the other end, Deron Williams has been as brilliant as ever, which is saying something. Saying a lot.

Luis Scola, Carlos Boozer, Andrei Kirilenko, Yao Ming, Carl Landry, Ronnie Brewer, Mehmet Okur, Shane Battier, Aaron Brooks, Brevin Knight, James! White! Sounds like fun. Let's have fun.

UNDERCARD
Phoenix at Miami, 7:30PM ET

Phoenix played awful sloppy in a loss at Orlando Tuesday night. Miami hosts one of league's best turnover-creation machines. Dwyane Wade could very well score 70, block Shaq's shot and set himself on fire at midcourt. Anything is possible.

Golden State at Chicago, 8:30PM ET

At what point will Don Nelson bench himself to get Keith Smart some reps?

Milwaukee at Cleveland, 7PM ET
Boston at New Jersey, 7:30PM ET
Atlanta at New York, 7:30PM ET
Washington at Oklahoma City, 8PM ET
San Antonio at Dallas, 9PM ET, ESPN
Indiana at Portland, 10PM ET
Memphis at L.A. Clippers, 10:30PM ET
