Youth Soccer Coach Resigns After Calling Team ‘Green Death'

We've all met the youth sports coach who takes things too seriously. Perhaps it's a hockey coach responsible for six-year-olds who insists on charting goals and assists and keeping stats. It might be a T-ball coach who keeps track of the team's ERA and OPS.

In Massachusetts, a youth soccer coach has resigned for taking things a bit too far. Michael Kinahan wrote an introductory e-mail to parents of the team of seven-year-olds. His attempt at humor didn't sit well with those parents.
