Marlins' Ozuna Continues Powerful Spring in Win

Marcell Ozuna hit his third home run in the last six games in Monday's 9-3 win over Atlanta

Miami Marlins outfielder Marcell Ozuna hit another home run to help his team beat the Atlanta Braves 9-3 on Monday.

Ozuna has now homered in three of the last six games, and he has four overall in the spring. With Giancarlo Stanton away for the World Baseball Classic, Ozuna has been Miami's biggest power threat on a daily basis. The outfielder is also hitting over .300 and has eight runs batted in.

Even though this was a road game, Miami sent several regulars on the bus trip. With the spring schedule nearing a conclusion, the Marlins are giving their everyday players plenty of at-bats. Among the regulars besides Ozuna, Dee Gordon had the best day with a two-base hit.

Brian Anderson is not expected to make the team, but he had a great day regardless. Anderson knocked in three runs, to give him 7 RBI in the spring. The third baseman also tripled for the first time this spring and is hitting .389. With Martin Prado's hamstring injury, there is a possibility Anderson could be on the Opening Day roster. Miami however will likely opt to go with Derek Dietrich or Miguel Rojas at the hot corner instead.

Stephen Fife started for Miami and picked up the win, with his four scoreless innings of work. Fife allowed only one walk and three hits, while striking out one. Justin Nicolino was next on the mound for the Marlins and he had a fine day himself. The lefty allowed a pair of runs on two hits in four innings.

The Marlins will host the Houston Astros on Tuesday at 1:05 p.m.
