Miami Dolphins Acquire CB Aqib Talib, Draft Pick in Trade With Los Angeles Rams

The Miami Dolphins have become a player during the NFL’s trade deadline on Tuesday, acquiring defensive back Aqib Talib from the Los Angeles Rams.

Hours after losing their seventh game of the season, Miami traded a future draft pick to the Rams for the 12th year veteran as well as a fifth-round pick, which was reported earlier by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The five time Pro Bowler and two time All-Pro won a Super Bowl in the 2015 season as a member of the Denver Broncos. He was drafted in 2008 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he spend five seasons before being traded to the New England Patriots.

Talib was placed on injured reserve earlier this month after suffering a rib injury.

In his career, Talib has 35 interceptions and when healthy could see time as a starter for the Dolphins – who remain one of the NFL’s two winless teams heading into Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
