Panthers Beat Ducks With Six Goals

The Panthers scored six times on Tuesday in a win over the Anaheim Ducks

The Florida Panthers beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 on Tuesday with a barrage of goals from six different players.

This was the third win in Florida's last four tries after a rough stretch. Before this recent run of success, the Panthers had lost seven of eight. With Tuesday's victory, Florida is now 24-17-11 on the season and remains in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.

Florida got on the board early in the first period with Dmitry Kulikov's second goal of the season. The power play goal was assisted on by Brian Campbell and Dave Bolland.

Later in the first period, the Panthers went up 2-0 when Nick Bjugstad put home his 18th goal of the year. This goal was during a power play as well and assists went to Jimmy Hayes and Jonathan Huberdeau.

The theme of the game continued in the second period when Aaron Ekblad scored his ninth goal of the season. The goal that put the Panthers up 3-0 came on assists from Huberdeau and Campbell.

About seven minutes later, the eighth goal of the year for Aleksander Barkov gave Florida a 4-1 lead. Brad Boyes and Huberdeau came away with assists.

A mere 22 second later, Bolland who had assisted on an earlier goal picked up one of his own. The goal which was assisted on by Tomas Fleischmann and Erik Gudbranson was the third of the year for Bolland.

Florida's sixth and final goal of the game came courtesy of Hayes in the third period. The power play goal was the 16th of the year for Hayes with assists going to Steven Kampfer and Gudbranson.

The Panthers will take on the Minnesota Wild on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
