Stanton Chosen as Judge for Miss Universe Pageant

Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton will be a judge for the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday

Giancarlo Stanton's busy off-season will continue when he serves as a judge for the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday.

The Miami Marlins outfielder will join DeSean Jackson, Emilio Estefan, Lisa Vanderpump, Kristin Cavallari, Louise Roe, Manny Pacquiao, William Levy, Nina Garcia and Rob Dyrdek on the panel of judges.

The pageant will be held at Florida International University and the winner will be considered Miss Universe 2014 despite the timing of the actual event.

Stanton has become a household name since putting on a show in the Home Run Derby this past year. Stanton lived up to the hype that evening when he had athletes and fans alike left in awe from his power.

The 25-year old was a finalist for the National League MVP award after putting up fantastic stats all season long. The Marlins remained in contention until September due largely in part to Stanton's presence. His season was cut short when he was hit in the head with a pitch during September.

Stanton has picked up awards and a 13-year contract since the 2014 season came to an end. Among them were the Silver Slugger award and the Hank Aaron Award. Stanton was also the National League's Home Run champion in 2014.

The pageant can be seen live on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
