Beef at McDonald's Sparks Big Mac Attack

Man tosses hamburger at fellow customer and gets arrested

Hunger can get the best of any of us.

A grumbling belly may have been to blame for a food fight at a South Florida McDonald's that ended with a customer tossing cheeseburgers at a vehicle.

Brant Goodwin Stephens, 43, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor criminal mischief after he let a beef at a Fort Pierce McDonald's escalate into a food fight.

According to the arrest report, Stephens and an unnamed man were in a drive-through line. It's unclear what got the tiff started, but Stephens was mad enough to pull up alongside the victim and hurl his lunch at the vehicle.

The victim wrote down the license plate number of the truck and called police, who caught up with Stephens a short time later. The report said the victim's car had a large ketchup stain on the side where the cheeseburger made impact.

When asked why he did it, Stephens was unapologetic.

"I threw a cheeseburger at that (n-word's) truck," Stephens is quoted as saying in the police report. "He pissed me off and if I have to go to jail for it then that's OK."
