Man Jailed Over Facebook Friend Request

Man violated restraining order with facebook request

Friend requests usually are harmless ways to contact an old booty call or find a kindergarten classmate, but for one Florida man, it was an easy way to get handcuffed.

Harry Bruder, 54, was arrested earlier this week in Pasco County for sending several facebook friend requests to his ex-wife, who he had been separated from for nearly two years.

A judge ruled Bruder's Internet friendliness violated a restraining order that barred any contact between the former couple, reports thesmokinggun.com.

And Bruder didn't appear to be hiding his social networking.

He tried to friend his ex twice and then when deputies confronted him about his facebooking, Bruder reportedly said, "Yeah, I did it."

The judge held Bruder on $5,000 bond.

Now his Facebook status should read, "In the slammer. Thanks a lot, Facebook."
