The robber challenged the employees to call the police and flaunted the knife in the air, a witness said

A man waved his hands in the air to celebrate robbing a bank with a machete and no disguise but was arrested minutes after the robbery, the Bradenton Herald reported.

Brenan Cole Fountain, 31, slammed his hand on the counter and demanded money from a Manatee County Bank of America during the Monday morning robbery, the report said.

“He was just wearing a baseball cap and a white T-shirt and kept saying, 'Go ahead, call the police, call them,'” Lenbert Bailey, a customer in the bank during the robbery, told the newspaper.

According to Bailey, the robber challenged the employees to call the police and flaunted the knife in the air.

Although Fountain did not have a bag to put the stolen money in, he received about $4,000 from the bank’s employees, the report said.

“They were really frightened,” Bailey told the newspaper. “They were sobbing. I felt really badly for the ladies.”

Fountain walked out of the bank but a witness, who works for the bank's alarm and security services, followed Fountain and alerted police, the report said.

Fountain was arrested about 11 blocks from the bank. He was being held without bond Tuesday on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and theft, and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.
