Nathalia Ortiz is a bilingual journalist with extensive experience in both Spanish and English-language media. She began her career in 2006 as a weekend reporter for WLTV, Univision’s local station in Miami, where she grew up.

She moved to New York City in 2008 where she reported for several News 12 stations in the tristate area. In 2009 she took on a position in communications with the Diocese of Brooklyn.

There, she created the Hispanic media department and lead the launch of a digital and print newspaper for the Spanish-speaking Catholic community in Brooklyn and Queens.

In 2012, Nathalia jumped back into mainstream media when she joined Telemundo NY's local station as an anchor and reporter, which brought on a unique opportunity for Nathalia to exercise her English and Spanish reporting skills, while delivering live shots for Telemundo NY and NBC4 NY, as needed, during simultaneous newscasts.

In 2015, a move back home offered her the chance to turn around stories in Spanish for Telemundo 51 and in English for NBC 6 News. The stations function as a duopoly in South Florida.

Nathalia is also a contributor for the Latino page of NBC News' digital platform and an anchor for Comcast Newsmakers in Florida.
