NBC 6 is holding a food drive from now through Friday, November 20th. You can donate non-perishable items at participating Bank of America locations in Broward County. These items will benefit The Pantry of Broward in Broward County. In Dade County, you can donate non-perishable items at participating Sports Authority locations in Dade and Broward Counties. These items will benefit The YWCA in Dade County.
On Wednesday, November 18th, NBC 6 will be celebrating a Day of Giving. We'll be out in the community all day to show how your help is feeding South Florida. We will also hold a phone bank from 11 AM to 8 PM where you can call-in to donate money to the YWCA or the Pantry of Broward.

NBC 6 would also like to thank Hands on Miami for their help with the Day of Giving. They assisted in identifying a charitable organization in Dade County, YWCA of Greater Miami-Dade that needed assistance this Thanksgiving with their food drive. Through the contacts at Hands on Miami, UPS will assist by picking up the collected food from Sports Authority locations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Hands on Miami also activated their database of 10,000 volunteers and asked them to assist in this effort by bringing donations to all of the NBC 6 Day of Giving drop-off sites.
