All four American women finished in the top two of their qualifying heats to advance to the quarterfinals of women’s snowboarding cross.

When she’s not snowboarding in the Winter Olympics, Team USA’s Faye Gulini is helping low-income Americans file their taxes.

It’s been a long and sometimes challenging road for Jacobellis – one of four Americans competing in the women’s snowboard cross early Wednesday morning.

“Being one of those resources that can help would have been something that [my family] could have used a little bit more of growing up,” three-time Olympic snowboarder Faye Gulini said. “Being able to do that for other people, it means more.”
