Residents and emergency responders in Florida recorded first-hand accounts of Hurricane Ian, which slammed into the state’s southern tip Wednesday.

A video showed a short-lived tornado that partially collapsed a roof Wednesday in Sarasota.

A video from the Sarasota Police Department showed a tornado at around 2 p.m. Wednesday. NBC affiliate WFLA reported that the tornado caused a partial roof collapse in the area. The National Weather Service has confirmed the tornado reached EF-1 level status and was short-lived.
