Motorists have felt the need to speed during the pandemic, a worrisome trend as roads get busier with the final stretch of summer travel.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva on Wednesday said the cause of Tiger Wood’s road accident in February was speeding. “Estimated speeds at the first area of impact were 84 to 87 miles per hour, and the final estimated speed when the vehicle stuck the tree was 75 miles per hour,” Villanueva said.
