The National Hurricane Center on Sunday said Tropical Storm Karen has formed in the Atlantic Ocean, leading to warnings for some islands.

Hurricane Dorian caused limited damage in the northern Caribbean as it left the region Wednesday night, setting its sights on the U.S. mainland as it threatened to grow into a dangerous Category 3 storm.

Tropical Storm Dorian’s center has reformed and is expected to continue strengthening as it moves through the eastern Caribbean Sea.

Tropical Depression Kirk no longer has closed circulation as its remnants continue moving westward, according to the National Hurricane Center said.

As the southeast part of the United States continues to watch what will happen with Hurricane Florence, the National Hurricane Center said Isaac weakened and was downgraded to a tropical storm by late Monday.

The chance for formation remains high at 70 percent.
