4/10: Triple Threat

So much music, not enough Saturday

MUSIC MANIA: As most of us are aware, today is a Florida Marlins fan's favorite day of the year: the first of 13 Super Saturdays, where big time names come to perform with tons of fan giveaways and fireworks shows. After tonight's game, stay after for a show that will blow you out the stadium. Hip-hop powerhouses Nelly, Kevin Rudolph and the New Boyz will all be performing at what we're hoping is the Marlins' third win of the season.  And with tickets starting at $11, can you think of a more perfect Saturday? 7:10 PM.

LETS PLAY BALL: Models are judged constantly for their height, weight and general hotness. But, what about their athleticism? Starting today, we put their ability to spike a ball to the test. The Model Beach Volleyball Tournament will take place today and tomorrow at SoBe's famous Nikki Beach. The event will feature seven top model agencies, as well as one celebrity athlete team, competing in two days of competition with the finals being help Sunday for the MBVT Cup. If getting your eyes full of the hottest bodies on the beach sounds good to you, than you're in luck. The event is free and open to the public! 10:30 AM to 4 PM.

TIME TO DANCE: When a production company has been around for 30 years, it's time to celebrate. Miami's own innovative cultural pioneer Tigertail is celebrating their 30th anniversary season with Ölelés, a collaboration between acclaimed Catalán choreographers and performers Jordi Cortés and Damián Muñoz – two of Spain's most innovative young dance artists. Gripping, physically intense and genuinely lyrical, Ölelés is a high-velocity, nearly violent piece dramatizes the bitter reunion of two long-estranged friends looking back on the fateful betrayal that shattered their bond 40 years earlier. Catch all of this dance drama at the last performance tonight at Miami Beach's famous Colony Theater. 8:30 PM.
