WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS: And men, too, in the case of local band People From Venus. They'll be playing along with Modernage, another local fave, at The Vagabond tonight. Expect some new songs, plus eats on the patio courtesy of Mo's grill and $2 PBR til midnight. DJs will, of course, take you well into the wee hours. 10 P.M.
WE WANT THE FUNK: Come 5 p.m., we're going into mellow mode. With the workweek over, it's time to kick back, relax and head to the Fillmore, where Michael Franti and Spearhead will be performing their eclectic mix of funk, reggae, hip-hop, and, well, just about everything but country and opera. 9 P.M.
FIT FOR A QUEEN: Cafeina continues its homage to our friends to the north (that would be Canada) with God Save the Queen, a night dedicated to that sassy leader, Victoria. "Tribute Soundtrack" will include Feist, Peaches and more, and the libations will be, of course, fit for a queen. 9 P.M.
