7/14: Viva La France!

Afro-Cuban festivities, toast to France and dolphins predict the end of the world?

VIVA LA FRANCE! It's Bastille Day and Miami is celebrating with the French! Pascal's on Ponce in Coral Gables is celebrating with a $55 menu serving up traditional French cuisine. You are guaranteed a great time at George's in the Grove. Champagne, steak and fritz, Tart Tartin and music will be non stop...as always. George just opened a new location, George's on Sunset in Southwest Miami-Dade too! And it's a Bastille bash at Mansion in South Beach. The party starts at 11p.m. and goes into the wee hours of Thursday morning!

AFRO-CUBAN BEATS: Get ready for culture shock at the MDC Tower Theatre tonight, where the 12th Annual IFÉ-ILÉ Afro-Cuban Dance and Music Festival will be taking place. The festivities of the night begin with a screening of the film “Nosotros la Musica” (“We are the Music”) and end with a performance by the Afro-Cuban group, Ogguere. 7 P.M.

MAMMALS THAT ANSWER TO A HIGHER AUTHORITY? That's according to telepathist Frances Fox, who claims she received information about the "ending of the world" from dolphins. She has written a book called The Gods Speak: Dolphin Wisdom Revealed. Fox has a degree in political science from the University of Miami. Have questions for Fox? Meet this psychic investigator at The Bookstore in the Grove at 7:30 P.M.
