6/19: You're the King of the World!

Booze and tunes, oil spill fashion, and Latin flavor

DIVE IN: Don’t feel like breaking out the button down or stilettos tonight? Throw on a pair of jeans and save some money while you listen to experimental jams. Titanic Brewery and Restaurant is ready to entertain you as it hosts indie jam band New Gravity tonight. If the instrumentals weren’t enough, this local spot offers a prime rib special for $13.95, a dollar off house drafts and signature drinks from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Show starts at 9 P.M., no cover.

LATIN LOVE: You caught up from a sleepless workweek, and now it's time to party-pack your evening. Latin songstress Paulina Rubio is performing at the Fillmore at 9 P.M., benefiting the Lili Claire Foundation. Purchase tickets for the show and receive a $25 gift certificate to Morena Restaurant and lounge, hosting Rubio’s afterparty. Following the show, head over to Morena and dance to resident DJ Charly Coca’s beats. Party till 5 A.M.

ECO FRIENDLY: While BP continues its “efforts” to halt the massive oil dump that is the Gulf, locals are getting involved. Chama Swimwear is hosting a charity fashion show tonight to support clean up efforts in the gulf. This eco-friendly line is concerned about our water and is showing it tonight at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Chasmwim by Sofia Beschen and the Surfrider Foundation plan to raise awareness and funds while giving away awesome prizes, including a vacation to Turks and Caicos Islands. 8 P.M.-midnight.
