Dr. Ruth Brings Sex Talk to South Florida

Dr. Ruth is hosting a sex discussion tonight

When Dr. Ruth is in town, sex in the city is an understatement.

The world-renowned sex therapist, who has taught the masses how to love, was in South Florida on Tuesday promoting her new book, which is tailored to the more experienced crowd, if not in love-making, at least in age.

"Sex After 50: Revving Up Your Romance, Passion And Excitement" is designed to teach older people that you don't need Viagra or other medical enhancements to get aroused and please your mate. In fact, it's quite the opposite, Dr. Ruth says.

"You have control over your brains and over your emotions. Anybody who is sexually literate can be sexually active until the age of 99," she said. "You have to know your limits. A man at a certain age can't be hanging from chandeliers."

But that doesn't mean you can't spice things up in the latter stages of your life. Dr. Ruth, 82, gives her full endorsement for porn and vibrators after 50 and even discusses the strengths of using the Internet to find a compatible sexual partner.

To hear more from the guru on intimacy and sex, Dr. Ruth will be hosting Evening for Two, an event that talks about stimulating sexual intimacy in a relationship at the Florida Atlantic University Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Bring a notepad because when Dr. Ruth talks, you're bound to learn something.
