Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Day 3

The third day of swim week delivered more looks worth diving into in the tents at the Raleigh, the pool deck at the Delano and the catwalk at Soho House.

On Saturday, fashionistas traveled from one end of South Beach to the other to track the trends on the third night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. The tents at the Raleigh welcomed more tribal and neon trends, while audiences at the Delano ooohhed and ahhhed at preppy prints and neutrals lit up the night at Soho House. Here’s a recap of what you missed if you didn’t make it to the shows.

Caffe
It was all about color at the Caffe show. The line, designed by Paula Saavedra, featured one-pieces in a rainbow of hues and floral patterns. Standouts included a halter maillot with a daring neckline in a palm-frond pattern and a white, one-shouldered one-piece with flower detail. But it was the cover-ups that stole the show. Blue, green, orange and pink popped in prints and floral patterns. The sheer, flowing garments billowed as the models strut down the runway, creating a wave of color that was truly memorable and fashion forward.

Tory Burch
The pool deck at the Delano was packed with bloggers waiting to see the latest from Tory Burch. A presentation, rather than a show, the models casually strolled the property, pausing here and there for pics. The looks were stunning and also what you’d expect from the preppy design, with solid navy blues and pops of fuchsia flowers mixed with busy navy patterns. From flowing cover-ups and long-sleeved zip-front tops to classic one-pieces, the looks came in all shape and styles.

Mara Hoffman
Back at the Raleigh, Mara Hoffman did what she does best: boho. This year, the designer says her inspiration for the line was desert boho gypsies. “My favorite piece is the beaded sheer dashiki. It’s the finale piece,” Hoffman says. While the cover-up may be her favorite piece, she admits the focus of this year’s line was the actual suits themselves, and we agree, though the Electric Casino tote was hard to take your eyes off of. Hoffman paired her colorful neon tribal-printed suites with ankle-high boots. Maillots, bandeaus and high-waisted suits were the most notable shapes. The looks were pulled together with messy boho hair, which included leather strings braided into manes. Feather tattoos on each of the models calves completed the look.

Chloe
For anyone who was looking to see more than just swimsuits and cover-ups, the Chloe show delivered. Models in gorgeous white tops, tan bottoms and classic one-pieces and triange top bikinis strolled Soho House’s runway, which seemed to float over the pool at the private beach club. Where most others at swim week delivered pop after pop of color, Chloe kept things neutral with creams and whites giving a chic, elegant feel to the collection. And the shoes. Oh, the shoes. Black and tan leather on chunky wooden heels had fashionistas swooning. Paired with long white dresses and breezy tops, it was a perfect collection for our little spot in the sand.
