South Florida “Voice” Rocks New TV Talent Show

Pembroke Pines woman rocks NBC's newest reality show

A Broward County singer kicks things off on NBC's new show - "The Voice." She was the first contestant to perform on the show Tuesday night, and will be featured on the show for weeks to come.

Tarralyn Ramsey put Pembroke Pines on the map first.

"For me, it's like history making to be the first person to open the show and to be the first person to take the stage. I was nervous," Ramsey said.

Ramsey's nerves on NBC's new show "The Voice" didn't last long.

"When my feet hit the stage and I saw all of those people, I thought, 'Oh my gosh, this is really real,'" she said. "The goal is to get them to turn around so you can make it through. Then I began to sing my heart out."

Tarralyn chose Christina Aguilera over Cee-lo as her coach.

"I kind-of expected her to turn around, but I was a little bit shocked when she did. Then when Cee-lo hit the button - I was like 'YES!'"

During Tarralyn's visit to NBC Miami, she told us "The Voice" is only going to get better.

"You guys have to keep watching this show because it's definitely going to get interesting," she said. "I should say you all aren't ready to see what's going to happen in the next couple of rounds ... Honey, you are not ready by a long shot."

You can see "The Voice" Tuesday at 9 p.m. on NBC Miami.
