The Crowes Fly In

Chris Robinson and his skinny jeans will be at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater tonight

The Black Crowes have been around for what seems like forever, and it always seems like they’re touring.

And for all the big names that don’t set foot in South Florida, the Crowes seem to pop up like clockwork every year. We’re not complaining, though, because though their dirty, peace-sign-loving, hippy style has ridden the line of mainstream/underground cool, with the revival of DIY and garage rock, dirt is back. .

Their cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle” remains a staple at just about every bar in middle America.

Chris Robinson blew our minds when he married the lovely, young Kate Hudson. He has held the title of the skinniest man in rock, newly trumped only by Bradford James Cox of Deerhunter/Atlas Sound fame. Anorexic in appearance or not, the man can rock.

Get your white guy blues fix at Pompano Beach Amphitheatre tonight, the Black Crowes will be performing at 8 p.m.
