Weekend Haiti Relief Concert to Rock Bayfront

    Local Haitian and other Caribbean musical acts plan to drum up some support for Haiti relief this weekend at Bayfront Park with a benefit concert called "Haiti Mizik Relief."

    The two-day music fest will feature legendary Haitian artist Tuco Bouzi & Dixie Band and dozen other Miami musicians who want to help their home country.

    Miami-Dade Mayor Tomas Regalado and Gov. Charlie Crist are expected to attend the event along with other Haitian community and local political leaders.

    There is a suggested $10 minimum donation at the door with all proceeds going directly to The American Red Cross for the immediate relief needs of Haiti. The event starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
