Lobsterfest in The Keys: Key West is celebrating the opening of Lobster Season all weekend! Thousands of crustacean lovers will make their way to Duval Street for the crawl Friday night.
Saturday night enjoy a free concert and street fair and end the weekend with a Sunday brunch at the Doubletree Grand Key Resort (3990 S. Back to School for Little Haiti: The community of Little Haiti is helping you get back to school on Friday from 10am to 2pm. Backpacks and school supplies will be given to the first 1,000 children accompanied by an adult. You can enjoy food, refreshments, bounce houses, face painting and more. Live entertainment provided by 99 Jamz. The event takes place at Little Haiti Soccer park (6301 N.E. 2nd Ave.)
 
Cristian Castro: Mexican singer Cristian Castro is performing at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater Saturday night. Concert starts at 8:30pm. Tickets range from $46.50 to $101.50. For more information go to fillmoremb.com
 
Miami Spice: It's that time of the year again when more than 100 of Miami's top restaurant offer mouthwatering three course meals at a very affordable price. $22 for lunch $35 for dinner. Literacy and Laughs: Hometown boy Twan Russell, former Fin and Cane football player is promoting literacy with some laughs. The Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation, dedicated to providing young people with the tools for success, is holding a fundraiser at the Seminole Paradise at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  There is a 5pm reception at Marrtorano's followed by drinks and comedy shoe (see below) at the Improv. Get Your Funny On: Steve Byrne from Comedy's Central "The Byrne Identity" will be at the Fort Lauderdale Improv Thursday to Sunday. He has also made appearances in films like "Couples Retreat" and "Four Christmases." Tickets are $15 to purchase tickets and for show times go to improvftl.com
 
Cirque Eloize ID: Cirque du Soleil meets street entertainment in Cirque Eloize ID. The show explores the concept of individuality while combining theatrical music, urban dance, contortionists and more. The show is in town until Sept. 4th. Tickets range from $25 to $85.
