MTV's House of Style Returns

For all you children of the '90s who secretly long for the return to the golden age of MTV (after the too-cool-for-school silver age of the '80s), where Eric Nies hosted The Grind, The Real World really was the real world, and everyone wanted to be Angela Chase on My So-Called Life, get ready for some good news: House of Style is back.

Originally debuting in 1989, the fashion-based show came of age amid the supermodel craze of the early '90s and was hosted by the supermodel-of-supermodels: Cindy Crawford. Research on Youtube? Sigh. Oh how the times have changed.

The first episode (which aired this weekend and continues to play on MTV all week) features a great D.I.Y. segment with Teen Vogue editor Mary Kate Steinmiller, along with her BFF Charlotte Ronson, on how to make friendship bracelets (so '90s!), as well as a backstage interview with Justin Timberlake at this William Rast show.

A little red flag for Iman's modeling fans, however, her interview certainly makes it sound like she's putting the brakes on her modeling career for a while and trying to branch out ...
