Sushi, Sake and South Beach

Sushi Sobe at the Loews is waiting for you to try its Smoked Salmon Sashimi. Maybe all good things do start with “s”

You’ve had sushi, you’ve had sushi in South Beach, but have you had Sushi Sobe at the Loews? If you’re shaking your head no, you’re missing out. But there’s no need to call for a reservation—they don’t take them—just show up and get started on the Cajun Beef Tataki.

Located in the Loews’ lobby, the sushi bar offers up the artistic food stylings of sushi chef Tung Nguyen. The menu, created by Fuji Fujita, one of just six Master Sushi Chefs in the U.S., is also a work of art and boasts crave-able numbers like Seared Bigeye Tuna, Tiger Rolls, Saffron Rice Pudding and Chocolate Ginger Crème Brulee.

Wondering when to “roll” over to Sushi Sobe? Thursdays are complimentary (hello, free!) sushi night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with drink specials until 11 p.m. What are you waiting for? Mark your calendar and get your sushi and sake on.
